Built for professionals
All our tools meet – or exceed – the demands in ISO, DIN and other international standards. As an extra security for you, our tools are offered with a guarantee against material and manufacturing defects during the normal lifetime of the product in question. Defective products covered by the guarantee will be repaired or replaced.
Defects or performance issues caused by accidents, not approved modifications, misuse, normal wear & tear or lack of proper care are excluded. A guarantee claim requires the submission or shipment of the complete product to the retailer or distributor along with a receipt or invoice validating the purchase date and the product designation. Returned products are first managed by the distributor network, entrusted with applying TengTools’ warranty and replacing items on stock. Replacement or repair of the product will be carried out as quickly as possible.
All TengTools tool storage (by registration) and all tools except air tools are covered by the lifetime guarantee. For air tools the right to complaint according to local sales laws applies. Packaging, cases and plastic boxes are not covered by the guarantee.
Air tools are handled under the warranty period and consumer rights applicable to the original sale.
Product-specific exclusions may also apply. Please keep your dated invoice or receipt.
Take or send the complete product to the retailer or authorised TengTools distributor.
Include a receipt or invoice showing the purchase date and clearly identifying the product.
The product will be inspected before an approved item is repaired or replaced.
Open the relevant category below for a practical summary of how common claims are assessed.
Tools with moving parts must be cleaned, lubricated and kept correctly adjusted. Failures caused by missing routine maintenance are not covered.
Service life differs by tool type. The overall condition, amount of use and age of the product will be considered. A tool worn out through normal use is not a warranty case.
Genuine material defects are uncommon and generally appear early in the product's life. The fracture and surrounding condition will be examined to distinguish a defect from overloading.
Cabinets, workbenches and toolboxes must be assembled correctly, used on suitable surfaces and maintained according to their instructions. Slides and other moving parts require periodic lubrication.
Damage from poor assembly, overloading, impacts, drops, uneven surfaces or ignored safety instructions is not covered. Registration may be required for lifetime cover.
Standard chrome vanadium sockets, extension bars and universal joints are not intended for impact tools. Impact marks, deformation or breakage caused by excessive torque are not covered.
Impact-rated sockets are designed for powered tools, but remain subject to their rated capacity. Excessive torque and normal wear are excluded.
Using a pipe to extend a handle, striking the tool, loose fasteners caused by missing maintenance, or using a socket that is not fully engaged may invalidate a claim.
Torque wrenches are precision instruments for controlled tightening. They must not be used as breaker bars, should be stored at their lowest setting and must be checked regularly for conformance.
Bent shafts, cracked open ends, hammer marks, grinding marks or evidence of extension with a pipe indicate force beyond normal hand use and are not covered.
Flexible and ratcheting spanners contain thinner or moving components. Correct sizing, cleaning, lubrication and screw adjustment are essential. A clean, maintained ratchet mechanism that fails under normal use may qualify.
Screwdrivers must match the screw type and size. Bent blades, damaged tips, hammer marks on a standard handle, or use as a pry bar, chisel or scraper are signs of misuse.
Bits must match Phillips, Pozidriv, hex or TX fasteners correctly. Standard bits damaged by high-torque powered tools are not covered; use the correct impact-rated bit.
Hex and TX keys are proportioned for a maximum hand torque. Bending or breakage caused by extension or overloading is excluded.
Cutting pliers must only be used on material within the capacity of their cutting edge. Crushed or chipped edges caused by wire that is too hard or thick are not covered.
Insulated tools must be removed from service when their protective insulation is cut, worn or exposes an underlying layer. Insulation wear is not a manufacturing defect.
Pullers are intended for manual operation unless specifically stated otherwise. Striking marks, unlubricated damaged threads or powered-tool damage are excluded.
Hammers, punches and chisels are subject to normal wear. An assessment considers the tool's age and overall condition, including whether striking faces or edges have simply worn through use.
